Florida - South Carolina trip, June 2000
The month of June was consumed in grand travel plans from Tampa to Talkeetna ostensibly to celebrate Carol's big birthday but hey, any excuse for a party :-)
| | Dinner with Joe & Reta in a great Greek restaurant in Tarpon Springs |
| What is a trip without a little shopping? | |
| Great Blue Heron on dock at Keystone Lake
 |
Light at St. Augustine, Florida |

| | Old Sheldon Church ruins, Sheldon, SC One of General Sherman's fire casualties |
| Scott, Anne and I canoeing the Tullafinny Creek. Heard lots of things go splash but never saw a 'gator. Managed to portage over 2 fallen trees and under a third without falling in! | |
| | Yeah, we finally get to the beach!

| | Intercoastal waterway viewed from the Dahoo bridge to Edisto Island |
| Our condo was within an easy walk to the beach. The water must have been in the 80s with almost no surf. Ideal for swimming or just floating around. | |
| Shrimp boat coming in on Big Bay Creek escorted by seagulls | |
| | On the dock waiting for sunset |
| Sunset over the Edisto marina | |

Carol met CrabMan Joe, (the local fisherman) and we soon had lunch boiled up and ready to eat. |
| |
| | Some can hold it better than others! |
| Hanging out at the Charleston battery | |
| | Pineapple fountain in waterfront park along the Cooper River |
| Just can't keep the kids out of the fountain! | |
| The swings had a 20 minute limit. We enjoyed 18+ Charleston is lovely! | |

| | The Spoleto Festival Finale was an evening orchestral performance at Middleton Place. Shown are the terraces leading down to the butterfly lakes. |
| Lovely woman, lovely place | |
| | Looking over one of the butterfly lakes to the Edisto River in the distance. Fireworks cannons are setup between the lakes. |
